Eligibility Criteria

Every vehicle must undergo a technical inspection and survey.

  • Service On Way decides whether the vehicle is eligible
  • Service On Way decides which plan category applies
  • Additional exclusions or conditions may apply
  • The vehicle may be rejected from warranty coverage
  • Major mechanical defects
  • Tampered odometer readings
  • Severe accident damage
  • Unreliable service history

The decision made by Service On Way after the inspection shall be final and binding.

Non-Transferable

To prevent misuse and to ensure the warranty coverage matches the original owner’s usage, the plan is non-transferable in nature.

RSA (Roadside Assistance)

RSA includes:

To keep the warranty fair and reasonable and to ensure a transparent process, certain exclusions fall outside the scope of the plan.

General Exclusions

  • Wear and tear components: oil, filters, brake pads, tyres, belts, clutch plates
  • External damage: cosmetic bodywork, paint, glass, accidents, floods, or fire
  • Non-powertrain electronics: electrical components not related to the powertrain
  • Commercial use: taxis, fleets, or rental vehicles

Wear & Tear / External Damage

Wear & tear items and external damage are excluded, including:

  • Engine oil, filters, brake pads, clutch plates, tyres, belts
  • Accident, flood, fire, body damage, glass damage
  • Electrical failures not related to powertrain

Exclusions, Liability, Waiting Period And Violations

These rules help keep the warranty fair, transparent, and protected from misuse.

What Is Not Covered?

To ensure a transparent process, certain exclusions fall outside the scope of the plan:

  • Wear and tear: oil, filters, brake pads, tyres, belts, clutch plates
  • External damage: bodywork, paint, glass, accidents, floods, fire
  • Non-powertrain electronics: electrical parts not related to powertrain
  • Commercial use: taxis, fleets, and rental vehicles
Maximum Claim Liability

Maximum claim liability per policy shall not exceed:

  • ₹50,000 OR 50% of the vehicle’s current market value, whichever is lower
  • If repair costs exceed this amount, the remaining amount shall be borne by the customer
Waiting Period Clause

All warranty plans are subject to a waiting period:

  • 7 days OR 500 kilometers from activation date (whichever occurs earlier)
  • Any breakdown during this period is treated as pre-existing condition
Mandatory Service Compliance

The vehicle owner must follow manufacturer recommended service schedule and maintain proper records:

  • Proper service records
  • Timely oil changes
  • Proper engine oil and coolant levels
  • Missing records may result in claim rejection
Policy Violations And Rejections
  • Service non-compliance: missing annual scheduled service at a Service On Way certified workshop for over 30 days
  • Odometer/usage breach: age above 7 years or usage exceeding 1,50,000 km
  • Unauthorized repairs: non-authorized workshop repair without prior approval
  • Accident/misuse: accident, unauthorized modification, racing, off-road use
  • Fluid negligence: low engine oil, low coolant, contamination damage
  • Tampering/fraud: odometer tampering, fake records, misrepresentation
